CYO Parents,

 I just wanted everyone to be aware of the dates we are planning for player evaluations. 

At the conclusion of registration on October 10 we will take a few days to create rosters and place our teams into the proper division based on age/grade, talent and ability.

For those who are not aware, the Essex County CYO league offers different divisions to create competitive balance that will hopefully ensure everyone has a positive experience.  The league is set up to have Divisions of “A” and “B” level competition.

Now honestly this is a huge challenge for any program since it all comes down to who signs up and how you evaluate your talent and then how you play during the season. But to help us through this process we have formed a committee that will conduct player evaluations for the purpose of roster formation for the girls and boys in grades 3-8 given that we will likely have multiple teams in Pee Wee, JV and the Varsity divisions.

First, please plan for your child to attend the evaluations for the age group that they are in. Your child only needs to attend one session as we want to give the coaches adequate time to see all the players in action.

 

So please mark your calendar for the following dates and time. Dates and time subject to Change.

NOTE: There will be no player evaluations for 1st and 2nd Grade and High School dates will be in December.

 

 Saturday October 12

9:00 AM – 7th & 8th Grade Girls

10:15 AM – 5th & 6th Grade Girls

11:30 AM – 3rd & 4th Grade Girls

 

Sunday, October 13

12:00 PM – 7th & 8th Grade Boys

1:15 PM – 5th & 6th Grade Boys

2:30 PM – 3rd and 4th Grade Boys

 

Wednesday, October 16

6:00 – 3rd & 4th Grade Girls

6:30 – 3rd & 4th Grade Boys

7:00 – 5th & 6th grade Girls

7:30 – 5th & 6th grade Boys

8:00 – 7th & 8th grade Girls

8:30 – 7th & 8th grade Boys
