January 15, 2022 | St. Joseph’s CYO hosted 3 home games vs. St. Thomas (Bloomfield) at the Gerry O’Connor Court this afternoon.

 

The Varsity Girls – Nolan started the day off. They battled hard but fell to St. Thomas, 16-46. Maggie Meade led the Celtics and was named Player of the Game with 6 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 1 assist.

Next up, the 3/4 Boys – Chamberlin came out hot as they went up 10-0 early in the game. However, St. Thomas battled back to cut the deficit to two and only trailed 16-14 to end the half. It was a tight second half, but the Celtics were able to pull out a 27-24 win! Evan Fitzhugh was named Player of the Game!

Last game of the night was the JV Boys – Donohue! It was a very tight game, as the Celtics and St. Thomas traded basket for basket to end the first half 10-10. Celtics ultimately hold off St. Thomas to claim the 19-17 victory! Blake Waller was named Player of the Game!
